Isolation by Default

All scripts are stored and run in an isolated location at ~/pinokio/api. All binaries installed through the built-in package managers are stored inside ~/pinokio/bin. Everything you do remains inside the ~/pinokio folder.

Open Source Scripts

All scripts are downloaded from public Git repositories. They are written in JSON syntax, readable by both humans and machines. You can always review the source code before running it.

Second, the publisher is invited to the official Pinokio Factory GitHub organization as a contributor.

Fourth, the script is thoroughly reviewed to ensure it adheres to isolation and does not attempt to access anything outside the isolated environment.

Fifth, after verification, it is featured on the Discover page. If any issues arise later, it can be delisted or modified.

Installation and Usage

To install any application, go to the Discover page, find the application you want, click Install, and wait for Pinokio to complete the automatic installation. Once finished, the application appears on the home screen, and you click Launch to run it.
